FAQ

Q: Do I need to water in my fertilizer?

A: We do our best to apply fertilizers a couple days before a predicted rain forecast, sometimes this may not be possible. If you want the fertilizer to activate and start working we recommend watering in the fertilizer. Please ask us for specific details depending on what step is being applied.

Q: Why are weeds are still appearing on my lawn even after the pre-emergent application?

A: A pre-emergent will prevent new weeds from germination and creates a barrier to prevent weeds spreading. What is appearing on your lawn are seeds / weeds from previous seasons that have already established themselves with developed root system or seeds that were in the soil before pre-emergent was applied. The only way to limit weeds in your lawn is to be on a fertilizer program with proper weed control and active spot spraying. After a season or two your lawn will have minimal weed growth.

Q: Spot spraying was done once but I do not see the weeds dying off, why so?

A: Spot spaying will take 10-14 days to start seeing results after application, most of the time you need two applications to eliminate majority of weeds. The second application is done usually 14-20 days after the first application.

Q: Is it safe to walk on my lawn after application?

A: No, you must keep all pets, children, and adults off the grass for 24 hours.

Q: Where is all the grass now that weeds have been killed off?

A: The weeds have suffocated and outcompeted your grass, therefore there will be no grass in those areas that have had excessive weed takeovers. We recommend aeration and overseeding in the fall to fill in bare areas.

Q: My lawn is a mess and I don't know how to fix it?

A: Please reach out to us and we can meet in person for a detailed examination of the condition of the lawn. Then provide solutions and recommendations based on our experience and results.

Q: When can you not apply fertilizers and weed control?

A: When temperatures are above 85 degrees Fahrenheit. We want to apply fertilizer when day time temperatures do not exceed 85 degrees as this will cause unnecessary strain on your grass and may end up burning and damaging your lawn. Same goes for weed control spraying. This limits the available uses of these products during hot summer months.
